Bambi Room - 0-2 years
Our Bambi Room caters for up to 15 babies and very young children at any one time, we have a staff:child ratio of 1:3. We provide all meals and snacks, as well as nappies and wipes needed during a childs session. We strive to create a 'home from home' environment for babies and very young children and follow children's home routines as much as possible. Our friendly, qualified staff team will plan for children's individual needs and interests and provide stimulating and challenging activities to allow them to learn and develop through play.
Rainbow Room - 2-3 years
Our Rainbow Room caters for up to 20 young children at any one time and we have a staff:child ratio of 1:5. In this room we provide all meals and snacks during a childs session. We ask that parents/carers provide their own nappies or pull ups at this stage. Our caring and experienced staff team plan for children's individual needs and interests to provide fun-filled, exciting and challenging activities to encourage children to learn and develop through play.
In this age group children access the outdoors every day (weather permitting), either through playing outside in our garden area, going out short walks around the local area or going small trips to eglinton park.
Sunshine Early Years Room - 3-5 years
In our Sunshine Early Years Room we strive to provide high quality early learning and childcare for children accessing their 16 hours government funded entitlement, as well as for those who access their funded sessions at another centre. Our qualified, motivated staff team plan for, observe and track children's development using The Curriulum for Excellence. Key workers assess children's individual needs to set short term targets for children's learning, with the long term goal of children feeling equipt, confident and ready to go to school.
After-School Room - 5-12 years
Our After-School Room is very child led. The young people in this room have a pupil council and are able to make decisions on everything from the colours of the walls to the activities they do and the resources they would like to see purchased. The main schools we cater for are Abbey Primary and Whitehurst Park Primary, we provide a drop off and pick up service. Our after-school service provides a relaxing and comfortable environment. Children are offered a light tea when they arrive from school.
